Division 2’s Year 6 Season 2 Released Differently Than Ubisoft Planned

Ubisoft once found themselves having to revert to their initial blueprint following a disappointing response to The Division 2‘s “Seasons 2.0” revamp. It seems that gamers didn’t take kindly to their characters being largely negated in the new season structure. Who would’ve thought?

The shooter game‘s Year 6 Season 2, codenamed “Shades of Red,” is now available allowing players to engage their existing characters in the fresh settings.

Presumed deceased, renegade agent Aaron Keener is actually alive and is currently being detained at the White House. Definitely, he possesses crucial data which we will access once we apprehend a few of his associates, beginning with Theo Parnell.

The next step of the adventure is the “Seasonal Journey,” which commences with 7 successive missions, each comprised of 8 tasks. Newcomers at level 1 are welcomed to engage in the fresh content and bag season rewards as well a distinctive presentation at the end.

Four varying forms of season modifiers can now modify the play style of The Division 2 when turned on. These can be Global, Active, Passive, or applicable to Hostiles. If the new configurations aren’t to your liking, they can be safely deactivated.

Upon reaching level 30, the “Primary Objectives” system is unlocked. These are a series of random tasks that can be chosen to bolster your progress – and if none of them appeal, there’s a reroll alternative.

Personally, I’m excited to try the “Manhunt Scouts” feature. This is a weekly challenge asking players to unite, decode puzzles, and propel the story forward. Clearing all the Manhunts unveils a special Manhunt Climax Mission, followed by an advanced version of the mission later on. A wealth of rewards awaits.

Other than game content, a slew of new items, weapons, armour, and exotics have been introduced. Take a look at these in the gameplay updates.
