As the Warframe crew gears up for the forthcoming Warframe 1999 update, they have shared their latest Devsteam presentation on YouTube. Notably, a portion of the presentation was dedicated to Mike ‘Mynki’ Brennan, the pioneering art director of Warframe, who sadly passed away on October 15th, just after his 50th birthday celebrations. The Warframe 1999 update is devoted to his memory.
Diving into updates for their games, we’ll begin with their awaited MMORPG, Soulframe. The game is presently in the “Preludes” stage, which is essentially a pre-alpha phase, and the developers continue to introduce fresh content. Five fresh weapons have been made available for testers, paired with enhanced combat and skills system linked to selected weapons. Greater tier rewards have been introduced through new world events and encounters, which you can locate on your game map.
If you’re currently a tester, look out for some invite emails headed your way, which can be shared with your friends and family. For those who have not received an invite yet, the team looks forward to welcoming the public to experience the Preludes in 2025, though an exact date is yet to be announced.
Turning our attention to Warframe, naturally, the impending Warframe 1999 update was a significant part of today’s online event. While the update is slated for release in December, fans can dig into a webcomic launching this November for a deep dive into the backstory of Protoframes appearing in the 1999 update. Moreover, Xaku is set to launch on November 13th, with Trinity and Nyx frames undergoing a rework ahead of the 1999 debut.
We also got to hear about new content involving corrupted versions of boy band On-lyne who will feature as new musical boss types, referred to as the Technocyte Coda, or the “Infested Adversaries System”.
