Mistfall Hunter, a PvPvE Extraction ARPG Set in a Post-Ragnarok World, is Available on Steam and Xbox

The multiplayer diversification sub-category welcomes yet another addition, this time transporting us to a world that still exists after the legendary Ragnarok. Introducing Mistfall Hunter, a third-person action role-playing game from Bellring Games. In this game, player teams battle against corrupted creatures and also amongst themselves to secure valuable loot and return it to the base. Sounds intriguing!

“In a cataclysmic clash between the gods of this world and the celestial deities, almost all divine beings are defeated, their spilled blood turning into a golden mist which sends those exposed into insanity. This catastrophe, known as the ‘Gyldenize,’ leaves just a handful of humans surviving in the unspoiled pockets of the world. A mysterious girl wielding supernatural power begins reviving fallen heroes, giving them immortal bodies to fight against the tainted creatures and restoring hope to a world teetering on the brink of oblivion.”

The gameplay elements don’t seem to be startlingly different from the norm: players can pick from the roles of Mercenary, Sorcerer, Blackarrow, and Shadowstrix and venture out to discover hidden treasures and a rare resource, gyldenblod. Thef task is to safely transport these resources back, which requires you to battle corrosive enemies, resurrected champions, and mutated demigods, or by seizing the moment to ambush other teams for their loot. If a character dies, all their possessions are forfeited.

Mistfall Hunter is projected to release in 2025 on Xbox and Steam, which means it’s possible to add them to your wishlist on either platform right now. A closed beta test for PC gamers is also available to sign up for on the official site.
