As outlined in earlier articles regarding Pax Dei’s Proving Grounds, the intent is to redefine the MMORPG’s landscape”, with new features aimed at greater player engagement, revamped mapping and more. With the launch date set for November 5, developers Mainframe are revealing more of what’s in store. An all-encompassing briefing on the anticipated modifications to the Crafting and Building was showcased today.
Developers intend to make a series of critical adjustments to instill greater structure in resource progression. These modifications will also secure profession compatibility with the new framework. The first step is an overhaul of resource allocation, making it consistent with the geographical modifications made to the world. Resources will adapt to the development of terrains, mirroring PvE progression. The implementation of the “one-click gathering” feature, where characters continue to chop or mine until the task is finished, is also on the table.
Recipes are also getting an upgrade, harmonizing them with the evolving biomes. This aims to ensure crafting stays relevant over time. Moreover, changes in the mechanics of recipe unlocking, based on skill and required items, are also on the agenda. This will help avoid overwhelming newcomers to the game. Further insight on these changes and more can be found on the Pax Dei’s official webpage.
