Wayfinder 1.0 Launched with 8th Edition, New Hookshot Feature, and Additional Content

Today marks the official launch of Wayfinder, with its graduation from “early access” status. Both PC and PS5 players can now enjoy the game’s “release” version, featuring the addition of its 8th Wayfinder character, Lora, a newly integrated Overland area to navigate, as well as new armory, additional in-game homeware, an updated tutorial session, and multiple performance enhancements.

Over the weekend, the Airship Syndicate team announced the introduction of Lora, the 8th Wayfinder in the Gloom series, and orchestrated a livestream to walkthrough the newly added “Crucible” Overland territory. This expansive region will demand player mobility, with the new patch including an added traversal component, the Hookshot, to facilitate maneuverability within the Crucible map.

The addition of two new Lost Zones, The Shattered Foundry and The Aegis Vault has also been introduced.

As a conduit of a primal force, Lora is struggling to harness her powers which can alarm her allies at times. Mastering a broad scope of damage-driven and “reflective” abilities is critical to optimally utilise Lora’s capabilities.

Your journey to The Crucible pits you against the sinister intentions of the Eldren race. They seem to be seeking something mighty at the heart of the zone, an objective you should strive to prevent.

For those trying Wayfinder for the first time, there’s a well overhauled tutorial waiting.

All the latest video content is readily available below. You can also check out the patch notes to understand all the updates in more detail. The Xbox version is slated for a release later this year.
