Remedy Entertainment has announced a fresh addition to their shooter game range. Unveiled at the Xbox Partner Preview event, the game titled FBC: Firebreak is a 3-player cooperative set in the Federal Bureau of Control universe, where players become part of the Firebreak unit defending the bureau’s headquarters against extraterrestrial invasion.
The developers emphasise that despite being set within the same universe, Firebreak is not a Control sequel or DLC. Remedy Entertainment’s Communication Director, Thomas Puha, describes the game as a possible spin-off, but insists that it is “a standalone, fully developed entity“. This implies that fans of the Control narrative should find this appealing.
Anticipated for release on Xbox and PC platforms in 2025, this game will be available through the Game Pass and can be wishlisted immediately.
