Myth of Empires’ upcoming DLC, a Persia-themed expansion for the widely-played survival MMO, drew limited information so far. However, Angela Game has shed some light on the matter this month. The company has issued a blog about the latest map and its gameplay features, alongside some fresh images of the cityscape.
“The region predominantly consists of desert terrain, interspersed with sparse oases – a harsh and unrelenting landscape,” according to the developers. “However, this desert borders several other civilizations, hosting numerous stationed soldiers. Although several wars have occurred over the years, no civilization has been able to conquer this area completely. They’ve established their own strongholds and fortresses to ward off invasions, engaged in skirmishes with hostile native tribes, but the overall situation remains a standstill.”
The post reveals the inclusion of an “expansive underground” suited for treasure hunts, along with “new animals, equipment, weapons, and tools”. Players can “harness the power of wind and fire for energy creation, utilize gunpowder-based items, implement special transportation modes for unique environments, and erect large structures.”
The release date is unclear, though the team anticipates it would be by the “end of this year.”
