If you had your heart set on diving into Throne and Liberty on September 17th, it looks like you might have to curb your enthusiasm. Today, Amazon Games confirmed that the MMORPG‘s release in the regions they support will be pushed back to October 1st. The early access period will commence on September 26th for those who have bought Founder’s Packs.
The team stated that the primary cause for the delay is the need for additional time to fully incorporate community feedback and introduce new systems.
With regards to feedback received from the beta version, it largely concerns modifications to combat mechanics as well as updates to progression and guilds. There was a consensus among beta players that combat functionality was quite impressive, but only after overcoming an initial phase of having to grind through less enjoyable gameplay. Expect better skill acquisition rates, new camera operations, and improved tab-targeting. More dispersed introduction of game systems for player progression is anticipated, resulting in less inundation for newcomers. Additionally, guilds will receive increased recruitment tagging to simplify the search for a suitable guild.
Since its launch in Korea, Throne and Liberty has been updated with new features that the Western beta players would love to see included in the MMO at launch. Although not comprehensive, the videos below showcase an enhanced skill specialization system induction, the launch of cooking and fishing life skills, and the introduction of Amitoi Expeditions and Amitoi Housing.
What are two additional weeks in the grand scheme of things? Surely, you can hold on, right?
