The acclaimed Hunt: Showdown by Crytek has ventured a little further West and into the future with its 1896 update. The game now takes place in a Colorado setting and introduces the Scorched Earth Event, fresh weapons, additional hunters, among others. Furthermore, it is now powered by Cryengine 5.11 leading to superior visuals and sound.
Users of the extraction shooter game venturing into Colorado will battle it out in Mammon’s Gulch, set amidst the Rocky Mountains featuring 16 establishments. The landscape boasts old-west towns, mines, and varying locations. Players will also confront a new fiery enemy, Hellborn – an entity composed of flames and flesh.
Certainly, the move to Colorado does not imply the developers have abandoned the bayou. The existing maps have been enhanced and refinished exploiting the newly introduced engine update.
There’s also a new event within the update titled: Scorched Earth. The event will continue until October 7, during that period, players have the opportunity to unravel more about the Mammon’s Gulch narrative while combatting the fiery eruptions from beneath the ground via mines and oil wells. Comprehensive details on the event can be found on the Crytek website.
