As of this morning, the 7.05 patch is live in Final Fantasy XIV marking the onset of Savage raiding. Players would need an item level of 700 for the initial raid, with the subsequent second, third and fourth raids requiring an iLvl of 705 and 710 respectively.
That being said, patch 7.05 brings more to the table in this MMORPG. If Savage raids are not up your alley, you can join the inaugural treasure hunt of the expansion, Cenote Ja Ja Gural. As in all standard dungeons, you need a Br’aaxskin treasure map to access it, provided you get a portal from the RNG.
This specific update also introduces a multitude of job modifications. Loads of enhancements have been made and some rebalancing – with Viper seeing the greatest number of changes, trailed by Samurai and then Black Mage. A few modifications have also been made to Pictomancer.
With the advent of Savage, some players might be on the lookout for potential team members. Here’s good news: the blocks on World Visit and Data Center Travel have been eased, somewhat. This means that players can now visit any location subject to congestion levels.
Here’s how it works: those standard worlds without congestion will permit normal travel. Standard worlds on a server with one or more crowded worlds will permit standard world visit capacity but data center travel will be highly limited. Meanwhile, new and preferential worlds will feature standard world visit login limits and increased data center travel capacity. On the flip side, Congested Worlds will have reduced world visit capacity and greatly reduced data center travel capacity.
This essentially means that there could still be hurdles in getting to some locations. However, if you’re patient enough to wait out a queue, you’ll make it… eventually.
